Issue #44

Sneaker Freaker is back with Issue 44 and what a way to finish off 2020! Our cover story is the Virgil Abloh-designed Louis Vuitton X408. Inspired by Terminator 2, L.A. Gear, Converse Fastbreaks and Billie Jean, the brutal high-tops feature intricate fibre-optics that light up with the press of a button. As a special bonus, this issue features a holographic rainbow LV logo effect!

The X408 concept is detailed in our 20-page Virgil Abloh feature, which also covers everything from his ‘debut’ in Sneaker Freaker Issue 3 to why he signed Lucien Clarke to a Louis Vuitton skate deal.

Virgil isn’t the only renowned designer in the issue. We also sat down with AMBUSH® co-founder Yoon Ahn, as well as Versace's VP of Sneakers and Men’s Footwear Salehe Bembury, to find out more about their come-ups and what they’ve got in store for 2021.

And that's just half of it! The back portion of the mag is a tribute to the pioneers who helped lay the foundations for contemporary sneaker culture. Neal Heard caught up with the lads from The Duffer of St George, who raided sports stores across Europe and America and sold the spoils through their London store in the late 80s.

There's so much more in this issue, so get your hands on a copy now!
